GIVING BACK: SPA IN SAN MIGUEL

GIVING BACK: SPA IN SAN MIGUEL

Posted by Fernando Montesinos on

Last week we visited the SPA (Sociedad Protectora de Animales) in San Miguel de Allende and presented them with a donation to go towards feeding the animals. Stray dogs are a big part of our family and we wanted to give back to the people who care for the ones still waiting for their forever home. We presented the SPA with a check for $2000, which covers one quarter of their yearly food budget!

Got to have The Virgin Guadalupe included! She blesses all Mexicans, 2 and 4 legged.

Franny Pritchard and Gardner Rustand present general director of SPA (Sociedad Protectora de Animales) Megan Gabel a check on behalf of Stray Dog Designs. SPA of San Miguel de Allende has been leading the charge in animal welfare for 30 years. They are also the only no-kill shelter in town.

Their facilities were lovely and clean, and their volunteers as delightful as the animals! Look at the colorful doors and the bone shaped name tags!

“Guera” or blonde is the SPA’s longest resident. Last year SPA placed 217 animals.
